Fonty - 'Antique' wool yarn

Antique yarn is made from 100% French sheep's wool (mainly Limousin and Texel breeds), primarily from the Limousin and Massif Central regions.

 This resilient fiber gives ANTIQUE yarn a rustic character typical of carded yarn. French wools have excellent curl, which explains their common use in mattresses (natural spring), rugs (excellent crush resistance), and clothing (lofty and durable garments). ANTIQUE is thus a classic carded yarn, prized for sports sweaters, widely used for needlepoint and in weaving schools, and well-suited to knit projects intended for felting at the end of the knitting. Given the wool's origin and the rustic manufacturing process with limited beating, ANTIQUE yarn may occasionally contain some plant debris, which contributes to its authenticity and charm; the price of this yarn is very attractive. The color range is bold and extensive. Except for intentional use of its felting properties, ANTIQUE yarn is best washed by hand with Marseille soap, without wringing, and dried flat.
