Snowfield
A handwoven shawl or blanket made from pure, undyed wool sourced from French flocks. The natural wool varies across the width and length of the blanket, forming brown, grey, and white rectangles.
The wool comes from Arles Merino sheep and pre-Alpine breeds from southern France. It is carded and spun at the Valgaudemar spinning mill in Saint-Firmin, in the Hautes-Alpes region, before being handwoven on a barge using a Louet floor loom. The wool is of the highest quality, selected and processed with the utmost care at every stage. The weaving process utilizes a four-shaft blend.
It takes approximately three days to prepare and handweave this exquisite piece. The material is durable enough to be used as a blanket or rug, yet light and airy enough to be worn as a shawl. With proper care, it should last a lifetime.
Wear your own piece of French countryside with pride.
Hand wash in lukewarm water, never above 30°C, dry outdoors, away from any heat source. Store preferably in a linen bag.
