Marron Frost
A scarf handwoven from 100% undyed French wool. A rustic brown (marron) background uses a 2/2 twill weaving pattern interpersed with bands of hopsack pattern. A lighter section of wool brightens up each end, using tabby and mixed twill patterns. It is made using 4 shafts on a Louet floor loom using wool from Arles and the Alps, with some of the darker brown from the Massif Central.
The scarf is both light and tough, folding down into a small roll. The wool is gentle and pleasant on the skin, but not silky or fluffy - it is a robust, hard wearing, countryside fabric and should last a lifetime.
Hand wash in lukewarm water, never above 30C, dry outside away from heat sources. Best to store in a linen bag.
